Privacy Policy
Driver Offer Advisor — Effective July 2026
1. Overview
Driver Offer Advisor is designed to be privacy-conscious and driver-controlled. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app may process and how it is used.
2. No private account login
The app does not ask for your private Uber account login, banking details, or payment-card details — no private account login, no banking details, and no payment-card numbers.
3. Manual evaluation
Evaluations happen when the driver manually triggers them (the Shortcut / App Intent or an in-app demo/sample feature), or automatically while Auto Scan is turned on (see section 4). Unless you start Auto Scan, Driver Offer Advisor does not automatically monitor for supported rideshare trip offers.
4. Auto Scan (Screen Broadcast)
Auto Scan is an optional, hands-free mode. When you turn it on, Driver Offer Advisor uses Apple's Screen Broadcast feature to detect supported rideshare trip offers while you drive. iOS shows the standard recording indicator the entire time it is running.
Screen frames are read only on your device. They are used in memory to read the trip offer's details using on-device text recognition, and are then immediately discarded. No screenshots, screen recordings, or other on-screen content are saved or uploaded.
Only the minimum information required to evaluate the trip offer is processed — the same information the app uses in manual mode. Your accept, reject, or missed decisions are stored on your device; only the decision itself is sent, tied to an anonymous evaluation identifier.
Your control
- Auto Scan is completely optional.
- You decide when to start it.
- You can stop it at any time.
- Driver Offer Advisor cannot start Screen Broadcast by itself — only you can, using Apple’s system control.
5. What data may be processed
- Visible offer details extracted from the screen when an evaluation is triggered.
- The evaluation result and decision metadata (for example, accepted or rejected).
- An app/device identifier used for quota, subscription access, abuse prevention, and support.
- Subscription entitlement/status information.
- Optional driver feedback and saved evaluation history.
- Support messages, if you choose to send them.
6. What we do not do
- We do not ask for private account login.
- We do not ask for banking details.
- We do not ask for payment-card numbers.
- Driver Offer Advisor does not sell driver data.
- We never run Auto Scan in secret — it starts only when you turn it on, and iOS shows the recording indicator the entire time it is running.
7. How data is used
- To provide advisory offer guidance.
- To enforce the free quota and Pro access.
- To show your history and dashboard insights.
- To improve privacy-safe learning and recommendations.
- To support and debug user issues.
- To protect the service from abuse.
8. Screenshots and text recognition
The app uses on-device text recognition (OCR) to read the visible offer information — both from screenshots you evaluate manually and from the live screen frames Auto Scan reads while it is running. Raw screenshots and screen frames are not uploaded and are not stored (a manual screenshot is kept only if you explicitly start a support/upload flow). Privacy-safe hashes/fingerprints may be used to prevent duplicate evaluations — a fingerprint is never an image and is not shown or shared.
9. Subscriptions and Apple
Purchases are handled by Apple. Apple may process payment information under Apple’s policies. Driver Offer Advisor does not receive full payment-card details.
10. Data deletion and retention
You can delete evaluation data where supported in the app. Some subscription/quota and security records may be retained for access integrity, fraud prevention, legal, or operational reasons.
