About
Who builds this, and what it is trying to fix.
The problem it started from
A driver makes a financial decision roughly every few minutes, on a countdown, in a moving car, with less information than the company offering the trip has. Accept enough of the wrong ones and a long night pays like a short one.
The arithmetic is not hard. It is just impossible to do in the time you are given, on a screen that shows you a fare and a distance and none of what they actually cost you. So most of us learn to guess, and get better at guessing, and never really find out how good the guesses were.
Driver Offer Advisor exists to do that arithmetic in the seconds you have, and to show its working so you can disagree with it.
Who is behind it
One developer in Toronto. Not a startup, not a team, not a company with a marketing department. That has real consequences worth being upfront about.
- Your feedback reaches the person who writes the code. There is no support queue in between. Several fixes in the beta shipped within days of a tester describing the problem.
- It moves quickly. Ninety-nine TestFlight builds so far. The changelog is public.
- It is small. One person cannot support every platform in every country at once, which is why the app says plainly what it does and does not read rather than implying it covers everything.
The rules we hold ourselves to
These are constraints on the product, not marketing lines. They are the reason some obvious features do not exist.
- Advisory only, always. The app never accepts, declines or automates anything, and never signs into your driver account. You make every decision. Why that line matters →
- No promised earnings. You will not find a "+30%" anywhere on this site. We cannot measure that honestly, so we do not claim it.
- Your screen stays yours. Frames are read on your device and discarded. The image never leaves your phone. The full story →
- Show the working. Every verdict comes with its reason. An answer you cannot interrogate is not worth much when your money is on it.
- Say when we do not know. Restaurant delivery is not supported because the economics are genuinely harder, and a confident wrong answer about your money is worse than admitting the gap.
Built with the drivers testing it
The app is in an open beta across Canada. Testers are not a focus group; they are the reason the offer reader handles the cards it does, and the reason several rules bugs were caught before a public launch. If something is wrong, we would rather hear it now.
The most useful message you can send is an offer where the verdict did not match your judgement, especially one you would have taken that it told you to skip.
